Employee Spotlight: Michelle Zerrusen
Michelle Zerrusen has been a driving force for eight years as an Order Specialist in the Joint Active Systems (JAS) family. Her years of experience, knowledge, extreme organization and willingness to share these skills are a few of the reasons she is well respected and valued among her peers.
Michelle trains novice team members and reviewing patient records to determine if documentation meets medical insurance criteria for each plan. She is well educated on a wide variety of insurance plans. When encountering new plans, she does not hesitate to research what is necessary to process the order and determine how the policy will pay so she can confidently relay accurate information to the patient.
A river is always flowing. It can move slowly, quickly, and even change course, but nothing stops it from flowing. A river cuts through rock, not because of its power, but because of its persistence. –Jim Watkins
Much like a river, Michelle does not let anything stand in the way of excellence in her role at JAS or as a mother to her 14-year-old daughter Ryley. For sporting events near or far, you will always find Ryley’s biggest fan in the stands cheering her on. As a mom, some days go by too quickly, and others are long, but through every season, Michelle gracefully adapts and cherishes every day with her daughter, her pride and joy.
It is no surprise that Michelle’s coworkers say she stops what she is doing to help them find solutions to their obstacles. If she does not have an answer right away, she will take the time to research and find an appropriate solution. She is an excellent communicator with patients and peers alike.
Many people accomplish something outstanding occasionally, but Michelle consistently delivers results, going above and beyond her responsibilities day in and day out. She is an unwavering, determined individual who has achieved mastery level in her position at JAS. Even when her direct team member is out of the office, she finds a way to complete the job efficiently and effectively while maintaining a positive attitude. The habits Michelle has developed over the eight years of excellence at JAS have profoundly affected our organization.
