Employee Spotlight: Kathy Kleinik

Kathy Kleinik has been solving Joint Active Systems (JAS) mysteries as a Private Investigator for the past eight years. Technically, she works in the billing department, but she may as well be a JAS private investigator due to her invaluable skill at revealing and resolving discrepancies and inconsistencies related to billing and claims.

It can be frustrating when an insurance claim pays incorrectly. While some may view it as a headache, Kathy welcomes challenges with open arms. She thrives, meticulously sifting through details until she discovers precisely how an error occurred. She is highly motivated to understand the “why,” so when a patient calls in with a billing inquiry, she is thoroughly and confidently prepared to answer any question.

Four grown children, her husband of 27 years, and 16 grandchildren keep her very busy. When she finds free time, she enjoys researching her family genealogy. She has researched parts of her family tree dating back to the 1600s. Ultimately, she hopes to make the connection for Sons and Daughters of the Revolution for her children and grandchildren. Kathy also enjoys gardening, sewing, and her pets; a dog named Bubby and three cats named, Chumlee, Percy, & Nicki.

Kathy notices and cares about every aspect of her work. She is a team player, willing to come in early, take on additional responsibilities, and collaborate with all departments to ensure efficiency and accuracy in our billing practices across the board. Although she mainly works behind the scenes, JAS is honored to put her in the spotlight and show her some well-deserved recognition.
