Employee Spotlight: Pam Reeder

Pam Reeder has been a part of the Joint Active Systems (JAS) family for 15 years. She spent the first 8 years of her career assembling devices in our manufacturing facility, where she gained knowledge of each device, their features, and how they work to improve patient quality of life.

Pam is a soft-spoken person with a passion for helping others. Over the years, we’ve had the honor and privilege of watching her personality and confidence blossom. She consistently helps wherever she sees a need and is eager to share her knowledge and experience with anyone willing to learn. When the position became available in our technical support department, we knew Pam was the perfect fit. It took a little bit more convincing for Pam, though. She was initially quite apprehensive about talking to patients over the phone, but you would never know if you saw her in action now.

Our sales representatives and patients nationwide continually praise Pam for her ability to assist with fitting questions or concerns. She is not afraid to ask for photos or start a video chat with a patient to discover how she can help. She is incredibly courteous and patient on even the most lengthy technical support calls. Her personality helps patients feel comfortable asking questions, leading to successful technical support calls.

When Pam isn’t assisting patients, you can find her spending time with family. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Jason. Together they have two children, Matthew & Alexis, and a bernedoodle named Pluto. As a family, they enjoy taking camping trips to the mountains or visiting the beach.

Pam’s favorite thing about working at JAS is how everyone steps up to help each other in times of need.  She shared the ways both the company and individual co-workers helped her in various ways during her battle with cancer. The family-oriented atmosphere means so much to Pam, which is not surprising considering her life revolves around family.

In recent years, our manufacturing facility had several long-term employees retire. With new members joining the team, Pam has been an essential part of our manufacturing process. She regularly checks devices for quality before they leave our facility and takes time to educate and guide team members to ensure patients are set up for success. We are incredibly grateful for the passion and dedication Pam brings to our team and love seeing the way she pours into those around her.
