I received my JAS bi-directional elbow splint on May 19, 2021. The 19th was my last day of Occupational Therapy. I was maxed out on the help it was giving and that day I was fitted for my new JAS elbow splint. It was also a week and one year since I had broken my elbow. Diagnosis: Olecranon Fracture/surgery needed for right distal humerus non-union repair, contracture release, and ulnar nerve decompression. Now that’s a mouthful, I know, but it was a terrible and life changing injury. PT wasn’t cutting it alone. So I had major surgery to help correct my arm and elbow in September 2021. After approximately 100 hours of PT and I still had not regained my full range of movement in my right arm my team and I decided to give this a try.
Now, only a week later, after using my JAS orthotic device daily and exactly as I had been instructed, I am super happy to report that I have gained more range of movement/motion and can only expect more rapid improvements as I go along. This thing is wonderful is all I can say, and that I feel blessed beyond belief that I now feel like I may make a mostly, if not full, recovery. Thank you so much JAS!
